Christmas Appeal
Welcome to the Advent Calendar of Fiction 2025
Each day during December a chapter of Drew’s new novella Unbuyable will appear — a gripping, unflinching crime thriller about survival, resistance, and the price of silence — concluding on Christmas Eve.
Access to the story is free but, in the spirit of giving, we hope readers might consider making a small donation to Build A Girl UK.
Build A Girl UK supports girls and young women who are at risk of sexual exploitation, many of whom live in poverty. Led by survivor-campaigner Fiona Broadfoot, this charitable organisation offers group-based activities and one-to-one support.
I hope you enjoy reading Unbuyable, and I wish you the very best of the season.

UNBUYABLE*
Kateryna was promised a better life. What she got was a cage.
Trapped in a brothel masquerading as the exclusive ‘Club Elysium,’ Kateryna and the other women endure a daily onslaught of violence, degradation, and lies. But when a forgotten newspaper article reveals a powerful client—an MSP leading efforts to block laws that would protect women—Kateryna sees a sliver of hope. Not for escape. For justice.
As she secretly gathers evidence of high-ranking men using and abusing women with impunity, she finds an unexpected ally in Michael, a quiet journalist with ties to the underworld of politics and law enforcement. Together, they risk everything to expose the truth. But in a world built to protect men like her abusers, and punish women like her, one wrong move could cost her life … and the lives of those she wants to protect.
Unbuyable is a propulsive, emotionally charged thriller that grips you by the throat and refuses to let go. Woven together is a high-stakes narrative of corruption, hypocrisy, and resistance, where every woman is a witness, every name a weapon, and silence is no longer an option.
